User Experience Design (UXD)

User Experience Design involves taking a human-centred approach to a product development and crafting an experience around the needs, and desires of the target audience. This may take form in many ways, but we’re most familiar with it in our experiences interacting with digital applications.

Brand Identity Design

Brand Identity is essentially ‘how’ a business wants to be perceived by customers. It is through brand identity design that a brand strives to communicate clearly with the target audience. Brand identity is the combined message transmitted via the brand name, logo, style and visuals

Web Development

Web development is the work involved in developing a Website that combines the Brand Identity with a User Experience to evoke interaction between business and client/customers.  Web development can range from developing a simple single static page of plain text to complex web applications, electronic businesses, and social network services.

GRAPHIC DESIGN

We understand that strategically driven creative design is the key to integrated communications. From logos and graphic content to digital and print media, we combine relevant ideas with focused copy to create powerful designs that inspire a response.

Numbers only tell some of the story

We don’t have big numbers, because we are a small agency. However, the benefits of a small agency is speed and cost, as well as friendliness, a human approach, flexibility and a sense of collaboration. That’s why you went shopping for a small agency in the first place, right?

Ham & Cheese Toasties

Print and web design can both engage the senses of users and in various ways. Print design can tap into the touching senses of users, while web design can use colour and visuals for brilliant results. Understanding the way people perceive these mediums is the key to creating effective engagement.

Creative Process

For all of our clients, the creative process generally follows 4 stages.

b

Preparation

The creative process begins with preparation: gathering information and materials, identifying sources of inspiration, and acquiring knowledge about the project or problem at hand.

Incubation

Next, the ideas and information gathered in stage 1 marinate in the mind. As ideas slowly simmer, the work deepens and new connections are formed.

Illumination

Next comes the elusive aha moment. After a period of incubation, insights arise from the deeper layers of the mind and break through to conscious awareness.
l

Verification

Following the aha moment, the vision is committed to paper, the concept is developed. Whatever ideas and insights arose in stage 3 are fleshed out and developed.
